Distinguished Public Servant – K. Alexander Wallace

K. Alexander Wallace, a servant, public leader and proud fifth generation Prince Georgian, has committed his life’s work and worth to improving his community under the mantra: “All for One — One for All.”

With extensive experience in public policy advocacy, financial regulatory affairs, and local and state government, he has impacted and improved generationally disadvantaged communities.

His family’s legacy of service, shaped by military, public safety, education and nursing backgrounds, influences his values.

Wallace began his advocacy career in college, leading the Maryland Youth Advisory Council and championing initiatives for student rights and services, which earned him statewide recognition as an exemplary student leader.

His political career includes successful efforts to assist immigrant communities, increase access to education and housing, and expand financial aid programs for aspiring educators.

While on the Board of Education for Prince George’s County, he authored and implemented policies combating food insecurity, establishing community schools, and addressing educational equity, earning national accolades for his efforts.

Beyond elected office, Wallace collaborated with various civil and workers’ rights organizations to enhance community health and educational programs, including a statewide Paid Family and Medical Leave law and Universal Meals Program.

Wallace’s civic involvement extends to advisory roles in political and community-oriented organizations. He has been recognized as one of Prince George’s County’s 40 Under 40 in Civic Leadership and is also a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success.
