Distinguished Athlete – Coach Charles Harley
Coach Charles Harley is a former Marine and an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. In 1994, he joined the Forestville Military Academy (FMA), formerly Forestville High School.
At FMA, Harley was the winningest football coach in the school’s history, leading his team to two state championship games, winning one. Beyond coaching, Harley was also an extraordinary role model and mentor. He says that seeing the number of student athletes who went on to college, many receiving scholarships and graduating, was the highlight of his tenure.
Coach Harley is currently the Director of Leadership and Character Development/Assistant Coach at the University of Maryland where he lives by the same core values and love that he did while at the “Ville”. Coach Harley is married to Dr. Tonia Harley, and they have two adult children, Chantz and Chazz Harley.
