Jakira Hameed, better known as Kira Dior, is a 2014 graduate of Charles Herbert Flowers High School and an award-winning entrepreneur. Her journey began at just 11 years old, selling candy in school and earning nearly $100 a day, all while maintaining Honor Roll status. This early hustle gave her the discipline and capital to launch her first business venture.
At 13, Kira created her first wig for a client undergoing chemotherapу, showing how her work could restore not just beauty, but dignity and confidence. This act of compassion became the foundation for Kira Dior Hair & Company, which has created more than 10,000 wigs for women worldwide.
Now a mother to her daughter, Zuri Milan, Kira continues to build her legacy by mentoring hairstylists and beauty entrepreneurs—teaching them how to build six-figure businesses from home. From Flowers High School to becoming a leader in the beauty industry, Kira is inspiring the next generation to pursue their passions with confidence.
